Relinquish

My initial research was based in alchemy and was given an unexpected twist through the constraints of lockdown. Walking a path became an integral part of my lockdown routine, which in turn fed into my project with found objects and observational photography during each walk. I've always had a fascination for the path well travelled, the trace of footsteps before me.

The lockdown walks led me to investigate Land Art and through this I discovered the arts movement Anti-form. It was like a light switch being flicked on, as I had been struggling with form and how to move outside of the vessel that tends to define ceramics.
