Time Between Time is an exploration of the journey after a traumatic event. The thrown vessels are cocooned within the hand built saggers that protect them during firing. Becoming part of the piece, they are a metaphor for the support network crucial to coping with such an event. My aim was to capture moments in time that express how that event fractures and reshapes us. How life can be full of beauty and torment at the same time and to open a dialogue around the subject of trauma and the events that cause it.
