Egyptian paste is a self glazing body that contains little or no clay. Traditionally used for bead making and small sculptures.
The Basic Formula
Low glaze content, unto 20%
Sufficient glass forming material
Porus structure
Approximately 60% non-plastic ingredients; silica, sand, feldspar
At least 10% soluble salts
